When you think of the "Dog days of summer", your mind usually turns to August. It's hot...hot...hot! Other then a nice cool breeze, there's usually not a whole lot to celebrate in August, but because it's my birthday, and my son's, I dedicate the August House, to all of us who have birthdays during different times of the year.

This is a 9-room Colonial house, done in green and white exterior colors.

The flower beds around the house are trimmed with seashells from Florida. (It's a little something different.)

Balloons, party hats, streamers, and favors, await all the party guests in the kitchen.

Beatrice is placing the last of the birthday candles on the cake, and soon we can sing "Happy Birthday", and finally get to all the presents! Even the dog is getting in the spirit of things. He's so busy playing with one of the party balloons, he doesn't seem to realize how close he is to the oven door! (We may have a very "hot dog" soon!)
